Axis II – Describes developmental disorders and personality disorders or
maladaptive traits ( compulsiveness, over-dependency, or aggressiveness)
Axis III – Describes physical disorders and general medical condition
(brain trauma or chemical imbalance that may be causing syndrome)
Axis IV – Measure of environmental stressors and psychosocial problems
(death of spouse, recently fired, lack of support)
